                             INTRODUCTION

Shhpoonnk is a Windows freeware animation player/screensaver.  Shhpoonnk 
employs a user selectable script file to display FLC and FLI animation 
files, and DIB, RLE, and BMP image files.  FLI and FLC animations 
are widely available on local BBS's, the Internet, Compuserve, and other 
online services.  I have included some of my own FLI animations with this 
version of Shhpoonnk.  I also offer for sale Brainsavers, a collection of 
3D animations which are way cool (and particularly well suited for use) 
with this program.  I wrote Shhpoonnk v1.00 using Visual C++ v1.0 in March 
1995.


                            NEW USER HINTS

Shhpoonnk comes with a default script, SHHPOONK.AAS.  This script can 
be used without modification.  It can also be edited with Shhpoonnk to 
add or delete animations and images, vary the duration, add transition 
fades, and more.  The ability to create custom scripts is easily learned,
will give you enormous satisfaction, and is well worth the short time 
you will spend to master it.  The script editor is fairly intuitive so I 
won't bother to detail its use.  Try double-clicking on the [..] symbol 
in the directories listbox of the script editor to navigate around on your
hard drive.  Play with the buttons.  With a little experimentation, you    
should be able to add MID and WAV sound files to your scripts, provided you
have a sound card that supports general midi (most do).  If you have a 
CD-ROM drive, you can also play CD audio from a script.   I have included 
two additional script files MIDI.AAS and CDAUDIO.AAS to get you started.  
They require the Windows MCI sequencer and CD audio drivers to be installed.
MIDI.AAS expects the file C:\WINDOWS\CANYON.MID to be on your hard drive.  
CDAUDIO.AAS expects to find an audio CD in the CD-ROM drive.  If you need 
more help, try asking around on the ASOFT forum on Compuserve.  If there 
is enough interest, I'll try to add online help in future versions of 
Shhpoonnk.


                           BUGS (uggghh!)

I love to get bug reports.  Other suggestions for improving Shhpoonnk 
are also very welcome.  Send email to my Internet address below and I'll 
try to get the changes into the next release.
